Pumpkin Pie Hummus

Description

Pumpkin Pie Hummus is the perfect guilt-free fall treat!  This sweet hummus recipe is made with real pumpkin puree and warm spices, with a touch of maple syrup for sweetness.  Even better than that, it is SO easy to make! It’s dairy free, gluten free and vegan, too! 


Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 (15 oz) can white beans or garbanzos, drained and rinsed very well
  • 1/4 cup of gluten free rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp of pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp of pure maple syrup (**if you need this sweeter, try adding some stevia or another T of syrup)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp of coconut oil (or nut butter, if you’d rather)
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp milk of choice, or water (I used 2 Tbsp almond milk)
  • (Optional) 4 Tbsp dark chocolate chips (I use Enjoy Life dairy free chips) **Note – chocolate chips are optional, but this is my favorite way to make this
  • (Optional) Dippers – apples, strawberries, pretzels, or crackers

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients besides chocolate chips in your food processor and puree until VERY smooth. Adjust spices to taste; add more oats if you want a thicker dip or milk if you need to thin it out.
  2. Top with chips and chill for a bit. I like this one when it’s cold!
  3. Eat with apples, strawberries, pretzels or crackers (or, you know, with a spoon!)
