Air Fryer Potato Chips are a quick and easy snack that you’ll fall in love with. Crispy homemade potato chips have the perfect crunch without all the saturated fat, oil, and calories.



2 large potatoes- yellow, yukon gold, or russet, sliced very thin using a mandoline or very sharp knife.  I prefer a mandoline so slices stay uniform in size and thickness. 

2 teaspoons avocado or olive oil (can sub olive or avocado oil cooking spray) 

¼ tsp– ½ tsp salt


  1. Wash potatoes and either peel them or keep the peel on.  Using a sharp knife or mandoline, slice potatoes into very thin, uniform chips. 
  2. Optional – if you have time – soak sliced tomatoes in cold water for 15 minutes before Air Frying.  After soaking, drain and dry slices well.  If you don’t have time, skip this step!  I skip it all the time!
  3. Preheat your Air Fryer to 380 degrees.  
  4. Toss your sliced potatoes with oil and salt. 
  5. Working in batches, add potatoes in no more than two layers to your Air Fryer and cook for 16-20 minutes, shaking and turning every 5 minutes. 
  6. Once the chips begin to turn golden, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool a bit before serving – they will crisp up even more as they cool!


Makes 4 servings, about 1/2 cup each
