- 1 lb Brussel Sprouts washed and dried
- Olive or avocado oil or avocado oil spray
- 2 Tablespoons Shaved Parmesan or pecorino romano
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 slices nitrate free turkey bacon diced up small
- drizzle Hot honey
Preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees.
Trim and cut brussel sprouts in half (or thirds if they are very large)
Place cut brussels sprouts in a bowl and coat with cooking spray or 2 teaspoons of oil and sprinkle with salt. Add sprouts to the Air Fryer, then top with diced turkey bacon.
Cook for 10 minutes, shaking halfway through cooktime. Add additional time if needed.
Sprinkle cooked Brussels and bacon with 1-2 Tablespoons of Parmesan cheese, then drizzle with hot honey.
Enjoy!
Oven:
To cook these in the oven, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and cook the Brussels sprouts at 425 degrees F for 25-30 minutes, adding the diced bacon after 10 minutes.
FYI:
Some bacon pieces might slip through the air fryer holes if you have a traditional air fryer basket, which, if the bottom of your air fryer is clean, this is no big deal...but I am just warning you. The other option is to cook the bacon in whole pieces at the same time as the Brussels, then dice it up after cook time.
Meal Prep + Storage:
- To Prep Ahead: wash and trim Brussels Sprouts, then store in an airtight container until you are ready to make this dish. For best results, plan to cook this side right before serving.
- To Store: Store leftover air fryer Brussels sprouts in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- To Reheat: Add the sprouts right back into your air fryer on 350 to heat them up.
- To Freeze: I would not recommend freezing Brussels sprouts as they tend to get mushy, but if you need to in order to prevent waste, then freeze in an airtight container and air fry from frozen at 400 to heat up.
