These Krispie Airfryer Buffalo Chicken Nuggets are a new family favorite – enjoy them mildly spiced or kick it up a notch with extra seasoning! No Airfryer? No worries – you can make these 21 Day Fix Buffalo Chicken Nuggets in your oven, too! This post contains affiliate links for products I’m obsessed with.
Confession: I feel like I am cheating on my Instant Pot with this Airfryer Post. And, yes, I know how ridiculous that sounds, but it’s true.
And, no, I am not here to tell you to run out and buy an Airfryer right this second.
I am still warming up to mine, but it’s growing on me and I am having more and more fun trying all the things Airfryer Style.
Like my Krispie Chicken...
And this new Buffalo Version. Guys…I am obsessed.
Like the original, these Airfryer Krispie Buffalo Chicken Nuggets are breaded in my favorite Brown Rice Krispie cereal (I get this at my regular grocery store, FYI! I just added the link to show you what they are), but I added some cayenne to the seasoning blend for a spicy kick. You can totally up the cayenne if you like it hot – I prefer these on the mild side and so do my kids.
And to add extra buffalo flavor, before breading, you dip the little nuggets in some hot sauce, olive oil, and egg white.
Then coat them really good with the yummy, Rice Krispie breading.
And then, just let the Airfryer do it’s magic. So freaking easy!
If you have never seen an Airfryer in action, check it out in this video!
My kids love to dip these nuggets in ketchup (they dip EVERYTHING in ketchup ??♀️), but I am obsessed with making a quick, Spicy Blue Cheese Dip. You can even use it as a dressing and use these little nuggets on a salad. You could also make a Healthy Ranch if you want. Or eat them plain.
Anything goes!
I don’t have an Airfryer. Can I make these Buffalo Chicken Nuggets in the oven?
Of course! I included oven directions in the recipe card!
Which Airfryer should I buy?
I have this Phillips Airfryer and I do love the way it cooks, but now that I own one, I my advice is to look at both the quart size of the actual cooking basket and the reviews on all the air fryers in your budget and see which one has the largest cooking capacity. A small cooking basket (like I have) would be difficult if you are cooking for a larger family.
Here are some of my Readers’ favorite Aifryers:
Power Air Fryer XL AF-530-5.3 5.3 QT Deluxe – This popular air fryer is larger at over 5 quarts, but this brand actually has a six quart version, as well!
Philips HD9630/98 Avance XXL Twin Turbostar Airfryer (3lb/4qt) – Like mine, but larger.
NuWave Brio 6 Quart Digital Air Fryer – Black with NuWave Brio Air Fryer 3 Piece Gourmet Accessory Kit – 6 Quart – I love the accessories this one comes with. And this brand has a 10 quart!!!
GoWISE USA GW22731 1700-Watt 8-in-1 Digital 50 Recipes for Your Air Fryer Book, 5.8-QT– This is an awesome price point for a nice sized air fryer!
Ninja Foodi TenderCrisp Multi-Cooker and Fryer All-in-One (OP305) – This is the kitchen appliance of my dreams! It’s BOTH a pressure cooker and also an air fryer (amongst other things!). If I didn’t have three instant pots and two air fryers, I would totally get one.
What other food can you cook in an Airfryer?
I’m testing all sorts of recipes, but we have made eggs, french toast sticks, chicken breast, potatoes, veggies, even FROZEN veggies in the Airfryer. I love this Buffalo Cauliflower Recipe, too! Like I said, it’s really growing on me! My favorite thing about the air fryer isn’t even how crispy it makes everything, or how little oil you use, it’s how FAST it cooks! You know me – I LOVE fast and easy :).

Hi! I am making these this week. Was wondering if I could just make them as chicken tenders or do you think they are best as nuggets? I will be using an oven as I don’t yet have an air fryer. Thanks!
Erin Patrick says
I am making these tonight. I have tones of chicken. Can I premake them and freeze them?
Nancylynn says
Yes!!!! We love doing that!!
Lisa says
These were so good! How would you pre make and freeze? Just do the cereal/egg white mixture but don’t cook yet? Flash freeze?
Stephanie says

So where do you get brown rice krispy cereal? Can I use pork rinds crushed?

Hi Nancylynn,
I have a hard time finding brown rice cereal. I do have whole wheat panko, would that be OK?
