An easy, DIY version of my favorite Trader Joe’s Everything Bagel Seasoning that’s delicious on all the things! This post contains affiliate links for products I’m obsessed with.
If you’re a Trader Joe’s lover like me, than you’ve NO DOUBT tried (or at least come across!) the TJ’s Everything BUT The Bagel Seasoning
It’s a delicious mix of all the flavorful seeds and herbs that sit atop fresh everything bagels in bagel shops all over the country each day.
Everything bagels are my FAVORITE kind, but they aren’t very Fix friendly obviously. But that’s why I love this the TJ’s seasoning so much! It allows me to have all the flavor I know and love from everything bagels, but without the carb heavy, calorie laden carrier.
Instead, I sprinkle Everything Bagel seasoning on, well…..EVERYTHING. Here a few of my favorite uses:
+on eggs
+mixed with plain greek yogurt or hummus for a healthy dip
+on roasted veggies and potatoes
+on soups
+on avocado toast
+on popcorn
But the possibilities are endless!
And because so many people in my Facebook group (and also my friend Pam in Hawaii – hi Pam!) do not have a Trader Joe’s nearby, I wanted to see if I could recreate this seasoning mix at home. I actually did find an Amazon link for it, but it’s more expensive than if you get it at the store.
So I made it and it really couldn’t be easier!
You just mix:
1 1/2 T white sesame seeds
1 1/2 T black sesame seeds
1 T poppy seeds
1 T plus 1 tsp dried minced garlic or dried garlic flakes
1 T plus 1 tsp dried minced onion or dried onion flakes
2 tsp Flaked Sea Salt or coarse kosher salt
Now you can have a everything bagel deliciousness anytime you choose! It doesn’t matter if you don’t have access to a Trader Joe’s because you can make this amazing seasoning right in your own kitchen.
Let me know if you try this out! And please share your favorite ways to use this in the comments. I am always looking for new, fun, inventive combos to try!

Thank you for the recipe!
I made it without the salt (or maybe just a fraction), because salt seems to be one of those things to stay away from. 😂

Sounds great!

What is the 21 day fix container count for this? Would this be one Orange container for 1/4 tsp.? I made this and it’s delicious! I’m looking forward to learning how to count it. Thanks!
Nancylynn says
I don’t count it! 1/4 tsp is such a small fraction (1/24th!) of the orange container. Plus the seasoning contains some “free” items too. So, you should be fine not to count it.
