Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts are perfectly crispy, so delicious, and cook in just ten minutes! Topped with bacon, Parmesan, and a drizzle of Hot Honey, this air fryer Brussels sprouts recipe is your new side dish addiction.
Ok, I am obsessed with this Brussels Sprouts recipe…my absolute new favorite way to cook one of my favorite veggies. The crispy bacon bits, crunchy sprouts, and savory Pecorino Romano…and then the drizzle of hot honey on top…it’s all so freaking delicious.
And while I love roasting Brussels sprouts in the oven, nothing beats the crunch of these crispy air fryer Brussels sprouts. They make a great side dish for my super popular Air Fryer Chicken Thighs, Air Fryer Pork Tenderloin, or even Air Fryer Salmon (fresh or frozen).
Love chicken wings? These Brussels Sprouts would be delicious with Garlic Parmesan Wings from It’s a Keeper.
The Air Fryer just has a way of making healthy vegetables hit a little different, like my Air Fryer Zucchini and Air Fryer Cauliflower. What other Air Fryer veggies do you want to see here?
Why I love this recipe
- It’s FAST. Ten minutes of cook time, and you have the perfect side dish ready to go.
- Simple ingredients that I always have on hand.
- It’s veggies…but it tastes like snack – especially those dreamy crispy edges. A great way to get those green containers in!
- Low carb, gluten free, and the perfect crunchy texture using minimal oil.
Ingredients
- Brussel Sprouts: I usually grab a bag of Brussels sprouts from the grocery store that are already picked off the stem, as a time saver. If you can only find Brussels sprouts still on the stem, you might want to try this on the stalk roast Brussels sprouts recipe from Nutmeg Nanny!
- Avocado Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, or cooking oil spray: My favorite way to make these is by coating them in avocado oil spray.
- Shaved or shredded Pecorino Romano or parmesan cheese: Love the bite of some fresh Locatelli cheese, but use your favorite parmesan or Pecorino Romano.
- Kosher salt: Coarse salt is my fave, but whatever salt you have will work ok.
- Nitrate free turkey bacon: My secret for getting my husband to eat Brussels sprouts? Bacon. And there’s nothing better than crispy Air Fryer Turkey Bacon!
- Hot honey: The finishing touch! I was going to use balsamic glaze like in my Shredded Brussels Sprouts dish, but I have been feeling under the weather and hot honey is giving me life. And it was a life changing decision to add it to my Brussels. Trust me. My favorite brand of hot honey is this one!

- Place Brussels sprouts in a large bowl and coat with olive oil cooking spray and sprinkle with kosher salt. Add sprouts to the Air Fryer in a single layer, then top with diced turkey bacon. Tip: don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket or your sprouts won’t crisp up as much as they should!
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cook time. Add additional minutes if needed.
- Sprinkle cooked Brussels and bacon with 1-2 Tablespoons of Parmesan cheese, then drizzle with hot honey.
- Enjoy!

Substitutions and Flavor Variations
There are lots of ways to season your crispy Brussels sprouts:
- Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic: Not a fan of hot honey? Try balsamic glaze or a splash of balsamic vinegar on your Brussels sprouts instead.
- Vegan Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts: Want a vegan or vegetarian side dish? Omit the bacon – you could always add some roasted pumpkin seeds or walnuts for extra crunch and try maple syrup in place of the hot honey.
- Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts topped with Feta Cheese: Switch up the cheese for a different flavor – I love using feta cheese, too!
- Switch up your seasonings: Want more seasonings? Shake on some black pepper, garlic powder, or even everything bagel seasoning. Drizzle over some lime juice and coconut aminos. Go crazy!
- Bulk up this side: Add some roasted butternut squash and dried cranberries! YUM!
Meal Prep and Storage
- To Prep Ahead: Wash and trim Brussels Sprouts, then store in an airtight container until you are ready to make this dish. For best results, plan to cook this side right before serving.
- To Store: Store leftover air fryer Brussels sprouts in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- To Reheat: Add the sprouts right back into your air fryer on 350 F to heat them up.
- To Freeze: I would not recommend freezing Brussels sprouts as they tend to get mushy, but if you need to in order to prevent waste, then freeze in an airtight container and air fry from frozen at 400 F to heat up.

I mean…the English teacher in me had to throw this in. The correct spelling is Brussels sprouts and the B is capitalized because they are named after the Belgium city of Brussels. I hope, though, if you are searching the term air fryer brussel sprouts you still find my yummy recipe!

Notes
Oven:
To cook these in the oven, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and cook the Brussels sprouts at 425 degrees F for 25-30 minutes, adding the diced bacon after 10 minutes.FYI:
Some bacon pieces might slip through the air fryer holes if you have a traditional air fryer basket, which, if the bottom of your air fryer is clean, this is no big deal…but I am just warning you. The other option is to cook the bacon in whole pieces at the same time as the Brussels, then dice it up after cook time.Meal Prep + Storage:
- To Prep Ahead: wash and trim Brussels Sprouts, then store in an airtight container until you are ready to make this dish. For best results, plan to cook this side right before serving.
- To Store: Store leftover air fryer Brussels sprouts in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- To Reheat: Add the sprouts right back into your air fryer on 350 to heat them up.
- To Freeze: I would not recommend freezing Brussels sprouts as they tend to get mushy, but if you need to in order to prevent waste, then freeze in an airtight container and air fry from frozen at 400 to heat up.
