Umm, you didn’t even take bite yet!

Sound familiar??

It’s totally the case in my house.  Please don’t think that just because I’m a food blogger that my kids magically like everything I make.  Quite the opposite, actually!

They both go in phases- sometimes pickier than others.  But it is just something I will never understand.  Because, well, #gimmeallthefood

So, I’ve hand-picked some reader favorites when it comes to family pleasing meals and put them in one Kid Friendly Meal Plan for you. Trying to plan meals for the FIX or WW that work for the whole family can be a challenge- I get it!

And right now, especially,  when we are all just trying to make sense of new Back to School schedules and routines, the last thing you want to hear is that “dinner is gross”. Don’t worry- I’ve got you!

This post is filled with tons of kid friendly meal ideas and inspo!  Make sure you save it for later too!

Picky Kid Favorites Meal Plan 

Monday:  21 Day Fix Make Ahead Meatballs (Gluten-free) and 21 Day Fix Homemade Tomato Sauce

Meatballs – 21 Day Fix: 1 RED, trace YELLOW  and BLUE (per serving) | WW Freestyle: (9 points per serving)

Sauce- 21 Day Fix: 1 GREEN, 1 tsp (per serving) | WW Freestyle: <1 point (per serving)

Tip- Serve over zoodles for you, and noodles for the kids!

Groceries: 

Meatballs

  • gluten free (or other whole grain) bread crumbs
  • ground chicken or turkey
  • chicken or turkey sausage (I used Spicy Italian)
  • fresh garlic
  • fresh basil
  • fresh parsley
  • Parmesan/Romano cheese blend
  • chicken broth
  • egg

Tomato Sauce

  • olive oil
  • onion
  • fresh garlic
  • crushed tomatoes
  • tomato purée
  • fresh basil leaves

Tuesday: 21 Day Fix Instant Pot Maple BBQ Chicken (Slow Cooker Option) and Instant Pot Mac and Cheese {Gluten-free}

Chicken- 21 Day Fix: 1 RED, 1 tsp (per serving) | WW Freestyle: 8 points (per serving)

Mac and Cheese- 21 Day Fix: 1 1/3 YELLOW, 1/3 GREEN, 1 BLUE, 1/2 tsp (per serving) | WW Freestyle: 6 points (per serving)

Groceries: 

Chicken

  • boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • tomato paste
  •  coconut aminos (or sub low sodium soy sauce if not gluten-free)
  • pure maple syrup (or sub honey)
  • apple cider vinegar
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • sea or Himalayan salt and black pepper
  • optional – thickener of your choice (arrowroot, tapioca, cornstarch, etc)

Mac and Cheese

  • head of cauliflower
  • chicken broth (can sub water)
  • elbow pasta (I used gluten free Barilla)
  • vegan butter or ghee (can sub regular butter)
  • shredded cheddar cheese w/ Pecorino romano added
  • garlic powder
  • dry mustard
  • Himalayan salt

Wednesday: Momma’s Meatloaf or 21 Day Fix Instant Pot Meatloaf and Mashed Potatoes

Instant Pot version- 21 Day Fix: 1 Red, 1 Yellow, 1 Green, 1/4 Blue, 2 tsp (per serving) | WW Freestyle: 11 points (per serving)

Groceries: 

  • lean, grass fed ground beef
  • seasoned breadcrumbs (we use gluten free)
  • onion
  • fresh garlic
  • egg

  • dry or fresh parsley
  • tomato sauce

  • baby carrots

Thursday: Asian Style Crock Pot Chicken or 21 Day Fix Instant Pot Asian Chicken

21 Day Fix: 1 RED, 1 tsp (per serving of chicken) | WW Freestyle: 9 points (per serving of chicken)

Tip: Serve with Freezer Friendly Instant Pot Brown Rice and green beans- they are yummy in the sauce!

Groceries: 

  • boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • honey
  • coconut aminos
  • tomato paste
  • coconut oil
  • sea salt
  • crushed red pepper

Friday: Taco Pizza {21 Day Fix}

21 Day Fix: 1 1/4 YELLOW, 1/2 RED, 1/4 GREEN, 1/3 BLUE (per pizza) | WW Freestyle: 4 points (per pizza)

Groceries: 

  • ground turkey
  • salt-free taco seasoning
  • shredded Mexican cheese
  • fresh salsa, or tomatoes
  • peppers

      Hi! I make them with noodles, zucchini noodles, cauliflower rice or spaghetti squash! My kids will eat them with noodles.

    I have THE pickiest 3 eaters. Well, my younger two (3-year-old twins), can usually be convinced to try, but not always continue. My oldest (7 years) is sooo picky. We even had her evaluated and saw a feeding therapist when she was much younger. I am very excited to try these recipes. I am optimistic they will work, and I am trying to do intermittent fasting and the 21 Day Fix, so I am pumped as well. Fingers crossed it works! I’ll post back. In the meantime, can I also get a copy of any ebooks you have for picky kid eaters and the 21 Day Fix?
